What: In honor of Black History Month, Read and Right will hold a virtual scavenger hunt for students to learn about Black inventors who created or improved everyday items! Participants will be asked to find the inventions in their homes and will be rewarded with prizes (sticker, bookmark, etc) if they can locate the items the fastest.

When: February 19, 2021 from 6pm - 7pm ET

Who: Elementary aged students

Picture

 What: A read aloud that features a reading of the book, "What Color is Santa" by the editor, Karla-Renae Harris. The story follows Jimmy's journey to find the truth about Santa's race to share with his friends on the playground but what he finds is a shocking twist. This is a fun perspective on Christmas magic that encourages open and honest conversations about race. Activity and dialogue will follow the reading.

When: December 21, 2020 from
​6pm - 7pm ET.


Who: Students grades K-3.
